  • VIC FS: 1.8T K03 Turbo Manifolds

    Hey everyone

    longitude one still for sale

I have 2 high flow turbo manifolds that came with Frankenturbo kits, so they suit 1.8T's with K03's

Both have never been fitted so brand new. One is transverse and the other is longitude

    Looking for $180 each

    Will post at buyers expense

    Hey Mate.

Looking at these for my Polo. All i have is APR stage 2 tune with the full exhaust and larger intake. Will these bolt straight on? will i require any further software changes?

The transverse one will bolt on, obviously you need new gaskets etc. The idea is that the manifold flows better, so you get earlier spool and better top end.

It would run ok on the Stage 2 but you may make more power with a tune optimised for the manifold.

I'll wait to be corrected but APR don't have anything you can switch to for that. The bang for buck probably isn't there for a switch in tuner.

By full exhaust, do you mean turbo back?

Yeah i have turbo back exhaust. I dont mind so much if theres not really any gain from it. I just need to scratch the modding itch. If it goes straight on and wont cause any engine lights ill buy it.

That's the idea of it. Not sure if Troy has the bolts/studs for the turbo. Once the manifold is on, you can't remove the bolt closest to the head. So what I did with mine is use a length of threaded bar and a nut instead. I also cut a slot in the end of the stud, so I could unscrew it with a flat blade screwdriver if required.

You shove the stud up from underneath and put the nut on a couple of turns. Then stick the turbo in and do it all up.

VW turbo bolts are too short!

We have customers running these on the APR tune no problem - we ran these type of manifolds on our Polo GTI with K03 & K04 - there is very little difference in the flow. Your software will be fine
