Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    SOLD OZ Superturismo LM 18x8 ET48 5x112

    For sale are my almost brand new OZ Superturismo LMs in graphite, specs are as per title thread and suit the mk6 perfectly.

    Wheels were on the car for less than 1,000km, car is now sold but wheels retained and boxed up in original packaging.

    These currently retail for $2,384 in Australia via the distributor (inc freight).

    I'm looking for say $1,650 ono including freight, and will also include a set of high end McGard lock bolts (x4) as well as the standard bolts to suit these wheels (x25).

        Ha yes they almost were, as you know I spent months researching them..!

        I can spray them matt black for free with a can from Bunnings, although I provide no warranties on workmanship.

        Price drop today in any case.

          I have a set of these for track use so I'll give them a free plug(different bolt specs obviously). Great wheels and reasonably light for how strong they are! Good price too. GLWS!

                    I have not taken a weight measurement - I can have a crack tonight but I don't have digital scales so would not be 100% accurate.

                    I remember taking some measurements off the web when I was researching wheels, and they are definitely lighter than stock wheels by a useful margin, and are a very strong design as per JedR32's comments above.

                    Wheels are definitely for sale as stock Detroits were returned to car last week.

                    Edit: I should add I cannot locate any reliable weights on the web right now - there are some for sale in the USA where they're quoting 22.6 pounds.. = 10.2kg, but I have no idea if this is correct or not. If anyone knows and can chip in please do so.

                      Ok, popped a wheel on the bathroom scales, came up a smidgen under 10kg.. but as above these aren't the world's most accurate scales but sounds about right!

                        I am interested. I am just waiting to see if I get outbid on a 4 post Molner hoist. Unfortunately I cant have it all. I earn a great weekly wage, unfortunately I only get every second one I will just have to wait it out and see what happens. If not, GLWS.
