Hey all,
bought a key from Oriental Parts but figured it was the wrong one.

Part Number: 1J0 959 753 DJ (315 MHZ)





Orientals had it for $100 I'll be happy with $60.

Also, FYI I successfully managed to get a spare key working for under $200 with only going to the dealership for coding.

Might be keen, just need to check if it is fine for a MKV GTI.

Can I bother you for the steps it took to get the spare working?

No worries mate,

Three simple steps to get this key working!

1. Obtain the genuine key
2. Laser cut the keyblade from a local locksmith ($35)
3. Book yourself in at a dealership to get it coded ($100; took about 1.5 hours)

Done & dusted.
