  • QLD 9W7 Bluetooth kit hardly used surplus to requirements

    Hi all

I sold my old Tiguan in Dec and swapped out the 9w7 unit which I only installed in Sept last year with a previously installed basic 9w2 unit as I was not sure if my new Tiguan would come with the later. It turned out that VW have installed a 9w7 unit so it is now surplus to my needs.

The unit was made in June 2012 and supports phone book functions in the RNS510 and Bosch RCD 510's manufactured in 2011 onwards. Older Bosch units display a garbled phone book as the BT OS is not compatible with older 510 Software versions

The unit will also work with RCD 310 units but will only display phone book functions in VW's that have the black/white MFD typically cars from 2009 onwards.

The unit has full BT audio streaming capabilities and will display song ID and select tracks within the same folder on an iphone4s

The unit comes with a foam holder to mount under the drivers seat and a wiring harness inclusive of a microphone. However it is not plug and play and will require the joining of 4 wires to the back of the head unit. I will supply a photocopy set of VW original instructions on how to do this installation. You will also need to have your vehicle coded to recognise the unit with either VCDS or the VAS system by a dealer.
    Asking price $200 plus postage
