After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. • SA EOI: OZ Racing Superlegerra 17x8 5x100 +35 with Kumho KU36's

    Hi All,

With my new brakes on order It's unlikely my old wheels will fit. Thus they're up for sale.

As the title says they're OZ Racing Superlegerra in 17x8 ET+35 5x100

Rim Condition: Finish = Fair. The finish has started to deteriorate and one rim has a dent in it. The rim with the dent doesn't leak air, I've had the wheels for approx 2 years and it doesn't leak at all (dent visible in second photo of this post on the front rim). The rims were the victim of a rookie tyre changer in the past thus they've been lightly scrubbed around their diameter .

Tyres: The tyres on the rims are Kumho's KU36's in a 235/45/17. Tyre condition is good with approx 1/3 likely wear left in them.

Overall these rims are in what I would call fair condition due to the finish beginning to deteriorate. If you re-sprayed them they'd come up very well but I don't have the time nor patience to re-finish them. My only reason for selling is they 99% wont fit over my brakes I have coming otherwise I wouldn't hesitate to keep them. Being an OZ-Racing rim the build quality is fantastic, they have plenty of brake clearance, fits R32 brakes with ease and they are extremely light.

I'm chasing $750 for the set of 4.
EDIT: Price dropped to $500 plus postage for the rims only.

    Cheers,
    Rob

Photos (note wheels are not clean!) and rear tyres are slightly more worn than first thought.

I Understand they're not for everyone. When I bought the rims finish didn't bother me as I was after a rim that was lightweight, In 17" and that fit over R32 brakes. These fit the deal!

                    Surprised these are still here.
Mk3 5 stud and polo drivers should be all over these, with smaller tyres they would be great.
Know I would be if I didn't have something similar already at home...

theyre bloody cheap as it is!!

just cant bring myself around, with the damage (tho im certain they can be fixed). that plus the freight costs....

Im just a fussy prick, and in true fashion im picking up 2 sets of wheels on Friday.

All good, I understand that they're not for everyone, and me being in Adelaide probably doesn't help! They're certainly not show car condition but if the dent was fixed and the rims resprayed they'd be like new! If they don't sell I'll likely strip the tyres, get the dent repaired and then respray and sell them then. If they fit on my Mk5 there's no way i'd be parting with them

                              Hi All,

Sorry to those who have pm'd me, my inbox filled up and when i emptied it i lost many contacts! Silly bugger i am!

Anyway an update to this, I'm having a mate strip the tyres off hopefully this week so the rims will be for sale without tyres.

I'll be chasing $500 plus postage so expect to land them for between 550-600. When I bought the rims I was quoted about $100-200 to re-roll, weld the dent if necessary and re-paint. I'm letting them go cheap as I dont have room for two sets of rims i cant use. (my 5 spokes will be up for sale shortly)

So buy them, fix and have a cheap set of wheels, or just do what i did and leave them as is and have a cheaper set of wheels!
