Hey all,
It is with much disappointment that after receiving a quote on body repairs for the golf it has become apparent that it is simply not a viable option to continue with the intended restoration on the golf.
Therefore as it is in pieces at the moment i have decided to part it out. She is a 91 golf gti 8v manual (post k-jet). Engine was in good working order prior to being pulled off the road, only listened to it for a bit but sounded like it needed the ignition timing adjusted slightly, timing belt was done and did very little k's after that. Interior is in great shape apart from the usual drivers seat base and back tear, all door trims are in good condition, as with the carpet. Dash is in fairly good shape, there is a few small cracks protruding from the front demister vents but good condition otherwise.
i also have a ****load of spares, pardon the french, but as i had intended on restoring it i spent quite a bit on parts. I have everything from front slam panel and lower cross member to door seals all round, new front door locks with ignition barrel and boot lock, new pads and rotors, new clutch w/ pressure plate and release bearing, new starter motor, new engine and gearbox mounts, handbrake cables etc etc.
Hit me up with any enquiries, will do my best to get back to you asap. I am in sydney until saturday, and do not have my tools on me anyway, but may start stripping the car for buyers convenience. I am located in Geelong, Victoria may be able to help with transporting/shipping parts if required.
