VIC Battery for free

I have just taken my original car battery out for a smaller one.
The battery is still perfect (3 yrs old).
Before taking to the tip I thought I would ask if anyone wants a battery.
Obviously you will need to fetch

he's not taking it..need a battery urgently before I contacted him...So its your's if you want it. I can leave it by my front door and you can fetch at your leasure...will PM you my address.

On taking it to the tip, not a good idea, and many tips (should be all) will not let you leave one there.

In the true spirit of re-use, most battery retailers will take them back as the lead can be recovered and re-used.

Just drop it at any auto store (prefferably not in a pool of its own acid)
