It is with regret I sell this fine piece of engineering:

Photo when it was installed:

Great cool air with the poly/plastic construction, no heat soak. Performance was great, however maybe I am getting a bit too old to enjoy the vuvuzela style amplification of engine induction sounds (and with the semi-open construction of the air box assembly doesn't help)... hence my reason for selling. I recently got the Forge Wintake CAI, and, while the sound is better from that, the heat soak (even with the Forge heat shield) is quite large compared to the Volant. I was almost considering slicing this into pieces to put the Forge air cleaner assembly on this fine plastic piping, but it deserves a home free of butchery I think.

DIY Tarmac Volant CAI install for Golf R and Gti
Comes with all parts as per the photo above I took Saturday, to fit a Golf R. It is essentially as new condition, only on the car a few months. It has had a minor trim on the heat shield to keep it away from one cable, and on the box to get it to slide under the light easier, and on the silicon pipe to get the whole assembly a little lower.
If you block off the bung on the silicon pipe, this will fit a MK5 GTI also I believe.
Price:$480
Prefer Sydney pick up as sending this giant thing is a bit of a challenge via Aus-Post I would imagine.
