BUSINESS Snap up my last Bluefin

Have a Bluefin to run out here, brand new unit will sell for $675. Is for Audi /VW will do most on the Bluefin website.

The Bluefin is brand new, and when you buy it its exactly the same deal as any other, you buy it, extract the eeprom info from your car, gets stored in the Bluefin unit and then you send that file to the UK , new file sent back from Uk gets put into the Bluefin and then your car Easy!!! I was a dealer till last week and i last one i have in stock

That price would include a tune and I thought Jimmy explained it quite well, you can look on Superchips website to see what cars it is compatible with, they're compatible with most VW and Audi cars. The unit itself is blank when you buy it, and when you read your car's ECU it becomes locked to your car. Then you send the read file to Superchips, they tune it, you receive it and load it on your unit then flash your car and you're good to go.

Later if you want to sell it second hand, you can wipe it (so it's not locked to your car) after you flash your car back to standard.

Meaning you can keep the unit and use it again (albeit with a new charge from Superchips?) to flash onto a new car etc?

Flash the car you are moving on back to standard and the they will reset it so you can reuse it. There is a charge to do it obviously. I think that's how you do it.

Pretty sure it's windows only. That wouldn't be hard to work out though, a $50 dollar ebay laptop would work.

Better yet use Wine - I don't own a Mac so I don't know the specifics but it's a pretty well known program:

Run Windows Apps on Your Mac Free With Wine Bottler | Mac.AppStorm

Not sure about drivers though, but you could also always run Windows on dual boot on a Mac, all you have to do is look.

Also with the reset, unsure about Superchips but with Viezu, if you flash the car back to standard, you get an option on the computer program to reset the unit yourself, after which you can just go read another car. So there's no reset fee, you just pay for a new tune (reading another car is useless if you don't buy a new tune for it, and your old files, should you attempt to be clever and happen to own another identical car, are locked to the ECU that you read the file from).
