SA FS: BMC CDA Intake

Have decided to go in a different direction with my intake and so have removed the BMC CDA from my car. Is a genuine BMC direct from Italy with the patented filter and airflow turbine design.

Has been on the car for roughly a year and probably done about 15,000km in that time. Have just cleaned and re-oiled it (properly, not dripping like I've seen done before ) so ready to go for next 30,000km or so.

Comes in original box (which is looking a bit second hand now but does the job), with original instructions, hoses and clamps, mounting bracket and even a sticker!!!

It is the 2.0TFSI model and the hosing/mounting bracket is designed for the mk5 GTI but the unit itself is completely universal and can be used in any car and setup (has the standard 80mm opening on both intake and engine side).

New from Europe these are about the $600 mark. I'm looking for $200 ono. PM me for more details and/or to make an offer. Happy to post Aus-wide or pick up from the Adelaide area. Postage will be about $15 but PM me for an accurate quote. If someone local wants to pick it up I'll throw in the K&N filter recharge kit pictured but obviously cannot post it due to Aus Post regulations on aerosols.

im sorry for the really stupid question... but when iv seen these installed i usually see another pipe aswell so will this replace my stock airbox and then its done or is there something else needed?
Another dumb qyestion but do you just put a pod filter in there? haha sorry again

Yes, all the applications are different. For the TFSI, the outside air intake is close to where the filter sits, so no need for a "breather" pipe. But in your TDI you might need a pipe on the front side of the filter to draw cold air in from the front bumper somewhere. But yes, essentially this would replace the stock airbox. I've seen lots of photos of CDAs on TDIs so I know it's easy to do. As per the original post, my "kit" was for the TFSI so won't come with all the extra pipes you need for the TDI but these would be easy to find/fabricate I imagine.

The filter is fully enclosed within the unit and is a patented design to create charged airflow. I've also just cleaned and reoiled the filter so you can install staight on your car and no need to clean again for 30,000km or so. Here's how it works:
