Hi All,
I'm planning on upgrading to some big brakes for the track so i'm seeing if there's any interest in my current setup.
Currently i'm running MK4 R32 Brakes with QFM A1RM pads and Braided lines from ECS Tuning.
Bought the setup when i turbo'd the bora then spent another $100 on braided lines and another $100 on getting the calipers helicoiled as the previous owner had tried to use his stock 4motion lines on them (these dont fit, you need R32 lines). Sale thread from the guy i bought them from http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/foru...100-45393.html
Brakes had brand new QFM A1RM pads when i got them and they still have plenty of meat left on them. Car has covered 5000km with the brakes on and has competed in 1 hill climb but no race track work.
I'm unsure of what the rotor thickness left is, rotors were freshly machined when i bought them and have a slight lip on them now.
All up i'm chasing $700 + postage for the lot: Calipers, Rotors, Carriers, Lines and Pads which i think is fair as they come up pretty rarely and i've hardly put any km's on them since i got them.
Only thing is they wont be available for about 1-2 weeks after confirmation of the sale as havent ordered my new brakes yet so these are still on the car and i wont order new brakes until i have confirmed the sale of these (i want to swap the old to the new brakes at the same time to prevent draining the whole braking system of fluid)
Just a heads up, they're heavy buggers so i'd expect postage to be in the region of $50!
Cheers,
Rob
