2004 VW R32 Block and head
both from the same car/original engine
The R32 that this engine for sale came from was having speaker system installed
when the warehouse it was in caught fire.
it was mainly the outside of the car that suffered with only parts of the engine bay suffering
with some burnt plastic and rubber parts act non the less she was pretty scorched. The manifold and vvt were a few of the plastic things to catch fire and melt down.
the fire was not nearly strong enough to damage the head or the springs in the head ect which have been
all tested and came up fine.
this happened in 2004 milage on the car was close to 10,000km only.
Since then i have just had the head reconditioned.
also the block was cleaned up and honed for a new set of rings ect
planning on having block put back together with new bearings and rings in their shortly.
Now the task of resurrecting such a Famous piece of engineering is not nearly as big as
when i first laid hands on it! It is now all Cleaned up and ready for standard use or
something more serious! At this stage I'm leaving the head separate from the
block keeping the initial cost down as a buyer might want to turn this into something more serious than standard.
In which case it will be more useful for them to both inspect the work already done and to make their own additions or changes.
Not Making any money on this thats for sure but its all part of the learning experience and i couldn't bare giving up and throwing
an incredible Engine Away.
Basically were looking at zero milage here which is ideal for any project or repair work for a damaged R32.
Personally it would be great to see this go into a project for sure! Nonetheless its up for grabs
2000-head
1500-block
3000-everything as is now including ancillaries and inlet manifold!
PM for any queries or interest.
