Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • QLD MKV Jetta Custom subbox & Dyn 3 way splits

    Hi All,

As I'm selling my MKV Jetta, the stereo has been removed and is up for sale. (car too, but obviously separate ad for that)

    Consisting of...

A custom made fibreglass subbox to suit a MKV Jetta to fit a 10inch sub (had an IDQ10 V3) Fits in the boot, flush behind the passenger side wheel well. No need to cut anything, not even the carpet. Looks stock, and comes with a heavy duty grill, so you can still use your boot as a boot.

Dyn Audio Esotec 362, 3 way splits (refer link for those who don't know what they are... ). Dynaudio - All there is.These fit in the standard speaker locations with little to no modification. No one will know they are there until they hear it.

Alpine PDX4.150 amp, 4x chan 150w rms per chan.

Alpine Head Deck - CDA 9887, top of the line single din cd head unit, full time alignment etc. Also comes with the bluetooth module, all the kit to make it work with the CANBUS system, and the mounting surround to suit the double din hole, basically so it all looks factory.

I also have the Image Dynamics IDQ 10 V3 sub forsale if someone wants to buy the whole lot, or puts in a stella offer, but currently my housemate has dibs on it.

The whole stereo was professionally installed by Northfield Moorooka, and approximately 2.5 years later also professionally removed by them, and has been sitting in my cupboard for the past 6 months or so. I have receipts for everything, inc the removal.

Basically, it is a top end system, and cost me the best part of $5.5k installed. It's been well looked after, and everything looks brand new.

I would be looking for offers around the $2k mark for the lot, with the majority of that being proportioned towards the dyns. Open to offers though, as I'm not really sure what it is worth.

    I'll post photos up tomorrow.

PM me for further details, or my number to discuss further.

    Hi All,

I'm moving house this weekend, so I won't have internet back on for a week or two, so won't be able to check this.

So if you are interested, give me a bell on 0413 669 330.

Also on a bit more research would suggest $1750 is probably a bit closer to the mark. But if you are interested in any of the gear, give me a buzz, I'm sure we could work something out. I'm not using it, and it is just taking up space.

      Hi all.

Still up for grabs, just gathering dust, so if you are interested give me a buzz. We can work something out.

Also, the Sub-box will not fit a golf, nor can it be modified to suit. You need an 8inch sub to fit in the same location as the golf. However obviously you could make a new box up to suit placement elsewhere.

How much are you looking for, for the amp and front loader.
        Thanks
