Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    SA FS: Canbus Gateway

    I have for sale a brand new Canbus Gateway part no. 1K0 907 530AD required for VW MY06 and prior.

    You will need this if you are upgrading the stock head unit RCD300 to a 3rd generation unit such as the RCD310 or RCD510 to prevent the power drain issue.

    I purchased this thinking that I would need it but my car is late MY07 and I haven't had the issue.

    It cost me $140 landed. Sell for $110 plus postage.
