Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • VIC Eibach Pro-Kit springs to fit 9n3 Polo.

Bought them off Smead on here a few months back, never fitted them to my car. Good condition, have original box and receipt.

    $150.

    Can post at buyer's expense.

Hard to say mate, but I've read 10-20,000km maybe? Ideally you would replace the shocks as well, but I was going to just leave the stockies in until they wore out

If you do drive it gently most times, then the stock dampers may last 50,000km.
The ride will get jouncy (stiff initial response and some over shoot in the recovery) and more so as the dampers wear.

How low do the rears go, Tooch? I'd be interested because my coilovers are at their lowest with the perch out and I'd like to go lower still.

Also, if you don't move them by next w/e, bring them down to Dub-stitute, you'll probably get some interest there.

Not sure dude, you might have to ask in the Polo section, as I never actually fitted them to my car.

Dubstitute is on the 29th yeah? I won't make it, as I'm getting my bike license

No way man! That won't take all day will it? We'll be going on into the evening no doubt so you should still swing by!

So is the bike the reason for the lack of Polo now? (No hard feelings haha)

                Bloody course goes from 8-6!
May be able to swing past afterwards, will see how I go

Nah the bike is just a fun thing, just to ride my ****ty postie bike around hahaha.

The reason for the lack of Polo is an upgrade to a Skoda Octavia vRS wagon
