  • VIC 16v Scirocco Manifold for mk1 or 16v-T setup

Hello, up for sale is my 16v mk1 Manifold

i bought this from the U.S a couple years ago with the intentions of running a 16v-t in my mk1
the throttle body is on the opposite side of the motor to a standard mk2 16v manifold, this allows for symmetric intercooler piping in the engine bay and is also great for a mk1 16v conversion for the use of original mk1 k-jet injection and airbox!

painted in matte black with polished top and VWMS Blue lettering "16v DOHC"
might come with throttle body (if i i can find it....) uses same throttle body as mk2 anyway....

this is a HIGHLY RARE Item! and is very very hard to find!

asking $350 ono + postage anywhere

G-sus.. That's a winner right there. Probably only a couple in Aus.

False advertising though, Dom. It says "DOHC 16V", not "16V DOHC". Hate to see you get sued.

Manifolds come in 2 sizes, 42 mm and 50 mm this is the smaller one. Looks good dude.
      Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

      Cheers,

        Isn't the 50mm only from the 16v g60 limited??
Or do the UK scirocco ones have 50mm too:S
I would love this!!! but not at the moment
        Good luck with the sale

from what i have read, the 50mm manifold came from the early scirocco's and used for about 1 year, which were then "recalled" and fitted with a more efficient 42mm manifold, improving low-mid range torque

and thanks preeny! would have been screwed if you didnt pull me up on that! hahaha

Not a recall, just a production change for certain markets.

The catalyst equipped engines used the 42 mm manifold, different inlet cam and KE jetronic.

The Mk2's still used the 50 mm manifold as mentioned, the airbox being on the RHS of the car. ( have some of these laying about too )
