Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    VIC 5 x 100 Steelies of 97 MK3 Golf for sale.

    Hi guys thought I would offer these up as there just sitting in the yard and some one might be able to use them.

    There a 4 good condition 5x100 14" Steel rims off a Mk4 golf standard config

    6j x 14 h2, ET38.

    Should fit just about all our models as are genuine VW wheels. Ideal for anyone who want to modify them or just use them when there repainting the car or what not. They come with tires 175/80 R14 but there not road usable but are holding air so good for workshop or spray booth work.

    Located in Langwarrin, Vic (between Cranbourne and Frankston).

    I'm not putting a price up but make an offer, I want these gone (girlfriend complaining) some pm me or call 0407773534.

    They look to be from a Mk4 Golf or 5x100 Polo.

      Yeah, Golf Mk I-III were 4/100 and MkV onwards are 5/112 and Polo Mk I-III were also 4/100.

      I wouldn't mind one to use as a spare (quasi space saver) but I'd rather not break your set.

      Check on ebay for a price guide - there's a set in Canberra on sale right now

        OK, I better check the stud pattern tomorrow thanks guys, I bought these for the hub caps and they were advertised as 97 mk3.

        will update tomorrow.

          Actually, the VR6 MkIII Golf had 5/100 hubs but they would have had alloy wheels, I would have thought.

            Ok guys can confirm 5 x 100 must have been a mk4, my mistake all other info is correct anyone want them let me know offers around the $40 mark.
