I have a genuine VW NAV DVD for the RNS510, came with my car.

I don't need it.

Why do you have it and don't need it? You may need to reinstall it if your are using the RNS.

do these disks also update the firmware? And are they one use? Thank You

It won't update the firmware.

The disc is multi-use.......and I doubt there would be much difference in map content between V4.0 and V4.1

The regular/reliable resources on the interwebz have mentioned nothing about a map update for Australia/NZ.
