Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Mik I want these in my life but my arches are a mess - rolled and a bit uneven. They look like they need to be attached underneath? I won't be able to fit these if my arches are so messy will I?

They only need to be screwed at the bottom edges near the sill. I ran mine like that with rolled guards (and trimmed the flares) fine. But in the case it is not sitting right, double sided auto trim tape will always keep them in the right place.

                  As Mik said,
3m tape those sucks on, and use 1 screw on bottom of each side. so 2 screws per a flare. i ran it like this for months and they didnt move, even when brushed up against a bush or something.

make sure its a all weather 3M tape, i got mine on ebay cheap.

Gonna have to pass on these for now mate-the budgets getting a bit out of hand for this build! Maybe if they're still available in a few months I'll try again then. Sorry to have lead you on!
