These are quite heavy wheels. Before I sold my 17 inch Denvers I weighed them with the stock Dunlop tyres on and each was 20kg thereabouts. My replacement 18inch Rays wheels with Kumho tyres weighed in at 13kg a corner.

The difference in handling was astonishing.

The only issue with lightweight wheels is that they do tend to cost a fair bit.

I don't think you will find better wheels for $900 TBH.

I'd buy 1 rim so I can replace the 1 set I've got gutter rash on. But then you'll need to find 3 other people wanting to do the same as me

So I'll put that out there as an idea...

P.S. Has anyone tried putting a full wheel into the wheel well of the GTI? Or does the battery definately get in the way? (To replace the crappy space saver)

Depends on the model? The older models are 5 x 100? I know the previous gen and current models are 5 x 112
