QLD Mk1 1.6L Engine

A Mk1 Golf 1.6L 4 cyl east-west engine. Petrol.

Ran perfectly when I parked the car in April 2008 before heading overseas. I got it running in xmas 2009 when i returned for a month. The car is down to the bare shell and the engine/driveline (block, head, valve cover, oil pan, manifolds, 4 speed gearbox). I'll make a good deal if you come pull it out yerself. It needs to go.

Not sure about kms. The car had 280000km but it is a replacement engine. Head and valves were conditioned when installed.

$300 with 4sp gearbox

Last chance - $150 for a spare engine and gearbox, otherwise the oil pan, valve cover, head and linkages are coming off and the rest going to scrap this weekend (23-25 September).

The engine doesnt run anymore, Ive dismantled it. The bottom end and head are separated. I still have all the bits - including mounts, gearbox and driveshafts (i think they're 90mm). The bottom end is still attached to the gearbox (4sp manual)

Is this a 16v motor?

Interested in the timing belt tensioner if so.. I am also inner west!

i definitely have the tensioner. As for the valve count i dunno. PM me for me details.

Mk1 would be 8 valve

I don't need any more bits, mine has been parted out and the shell sent to scrap. the donk is sitting in the way.

I've separated the gearbox from the block. I'll be sending the block to scrap. Happy for someone to take the block off my hands.
