Not sure as i didnt get to see that car running. I would assume so as the car had full books, lots of receipts for repairs to all sorts of items on the car and was in good working condition.

2 plug cluster is used in early Mk2 (pre-88 or 87 not 100% sure), it is called CE1 (central electric) cluster.
Obviously single plug is for later Mk2, it is call CE2.

They are not interchangeable.
