Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NSW Custom code k03 golf 4 a3 tune

Have just upgraded to a stage 3 cc tune so the old tune is for sale. Awesome tune turns your bog boring supposed hot hatch actually into one.

    $600

How do you install it? Is it a solder in chip tune Or something?

It's software written into an ecu just drop it in and recode the immobiliser and your good to go.

Really transforms your car it's like it's actually got a turbo afterwards.

How does it perform against the big brands like apr giac and such?

Custom code is hardly not big brand. Just not popular on here.
Have a look at JBS Auto Designs and the partnership - as well as the projects they do - and its a lot more impressive than AN APR Stg3 GTI haha.

GL with the sale, any more questions on the tune PM Gavin?

Steady with comments like that mate.

Just because I don't spend money like the other companies on advertising, doesn't make the product inferior. Custom-Code has a pretty good rep in the UK look them up on UK forums and read for yourself.

If you were thinking of getting the ECU from Alex, it would be good if it were the same part number as yours. This isn't mega critical but it is a good idea.

            Cheers

Gavin what are you refering to here? The ECU part number?

Yeah, the ECU is important but not critical. However, 2000-2001 Golf's have a different immobiliser to earlier cars and are not so easy to recode.
