Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NSW Bilstein PSS9 coilovers to suit MK4 R32/Bora V64Motion/Audi 8L S3/TT Quattro

Currently up for sale are my Bilstein PSS9 coilover suspension. PSS9s are adjustable for height and rebound (PSS are height adjustable only), and are the premier Bilstein coilover available for the Mk4 4Motion chassis.

This setup was purchased in November 2009, though has only seen about 10,000km of service on my car. They were recently sent back to Bilstein due to an issue with the rear springs, which it turns out were incorrectly supplied. They've been inspected/rebuilt by Bilstein and the rear springs replaced with the correct items now.

As noted in the title, these will fit a Mk4-generation 4Motion vehicle (R32, Bora V6 4Motion, Audi 8L S3 or Gen1 TT Quattro). They will NOT suit a FWD Mk4 vehicle - the fronts are fine, but the rear suspension setup on the 4Motion chassis is different to that of the FWD model.

Local purchase price is $3,000+ (Bilstein Australia ensure that nobody can get them cheaper than this). To bring them in from the US would cost ~$2000 including shipping, so I think I'm being reasonable asking $1600 for them, pickup from North Parramatta.
