  • QLD One Kumho KU36 225/45 R17 Tyre - FREE

I got a puncture on one of my rear tyres. It was too close to the side wall to repair. Anyway, I'm getting a new pair of tyres on Saturday, so the other tyre (the one without the puncture) will be getting thrown out at the tyre shop, unless someone from these forums wants it.

The size is 225/45 R17. These tyres have done about 10,000kms on the front and about 13,000kms on the back. It has a couple of millimeters of thread above the TWI (thread wear indicator).

PM me if you want it, or I'll just get the tyre shop to throw it out.

Price: Free, just pick it up (west of Brisbane, about 20mins from the CBD).

I've had other people PM me and ask the same thing. The Kumhos are pretty good actually. They were definitely value for money when I bought them for $190 each. I've taken a Ford Focus (not my car) with a fresh set of KU36s on track at QR and they were pretty good. They don't squeal and are pretty progressive when they start sliding. They do tend to get a little worse if they get too hot, but as long as you limit your tyre slip, you're ok. I saw a lot of people using KU36 on the track. As a street tyre they're good, wet performance is not amazing, but not bad. Overall I liked them.

Kumho KU36s went up in price now and at the moment they are only $10 cheaper than Bridgestone Adrenalins, so I'm getting a pair of Adrenalins tomorrow

In conclusion, if you can find a set of KU36s for cheap, then go for it.
