With proper rubber they would be fine mate! you wouldn't need to streatch rubber unless you wanted to

What work would be needed to get this to fit on a MKV R32

ovbiously the stud pattern is wrong, how were you going to manage getting these on your R?

Do you know if the brakes on a MKV would have the same issue with clearence you experienced?
