  • QLD Genuine VW Bluetooth & Northfield Aux Input

The Northfield Car Sound Aux Input I had installed into my Jetta last March. I had this item removed from my car about two months ago as my new Jetta has one in built. It was in working order up until the day it was removed and is fully compatible with the RCD300 - $100.

PM me if you're keen on either item and I will be covering postage.

    Happy dubbing - Alex.

Hey I could be interested in the aux input. Do you have any extra details or pics I could get my hands on? Also it is compatible with the rcd300 correct?

      Hey mate

Got a model number for the bluetooth module? Can it be operated via the RNS510 and also display on the MFD?

I can take some pics of the module tomorrow, what other information would you like? It came straight out of my Jetta with the factory RCD300 so I can confirm that it works well and the quality is excellent. Be advised; I don't think it'll work if you have a stacker as there will be no spare audio port on the head unit.

I can get you the model number tomorrow and let you know. It can be operated on the RNS510 (it came off out Tig which has this head unit) but I don't believe any information comes up on the MFD. At the time (04/10), it was the only Bluetooth option available from the dealer and my understanding is that it's very basic.

Let me know if there's anything else I can help either of you with. (I've cleared my PM box, also.)

Sorry for the delayed response. Here are some pics of the Aux Input (I didn't really know what to take photos of ).

Not really sure what it is, it's just what I got when the removed it from my TDI.

And with the way the Desire's been behaving lately, I'm tempted to throw it in

It'll just be the 'box' to convert the input to the required signal for the RCD. Wrapped in foam tape to stop it rattling I imagine...

'Box' = an emulator to 'fool' the RCD300 into thinking there's a CD changer connected, therefore allowing audio to pass from the 3.5mm jack through to the stereo. Better Alex?
