Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Management Kits

    ---

    Info: It's getting into the cold season here on the East Coast - it's almost time to put the car away for the winter, right? There is no better time than the present to kiss the ground with our killer deals on bags, struts and complete packages.

    How it works: The group buy is limited to ten people. At the moment, this group buy is only for Mk2/3/4 and Corrado platforms. We can and will open up this group buy to Mk5/6 platforms if there are five or more interested. cut off date for this group buy is 31st December 2010

    Pricing: Listed below are various discount tiers based on the amount of people that are interested in the group buy. Although we can do a five kit minimum, the more people will yield better pricing (obviously). Please remember that this group buy is limited to ten people and we will not squeeze in any extras! PLEASE NOTE ALL PRICING IS IN U.S CURRENCY'S

    ORT x BY Discount Tiers:

    0-5 Kits: 5% off
    6-10 kits: 10% off
    10+ kits: 15% off

    Shipping: Typically we ship larger shipments on pallets as it brings the cost of shipment down by about 50-60 dollars. We have yet to determine how we will ship these kits but it shouldn't cost as much as we typically charge for shipping on our kits.

    Complete Packages: in light of this group buy, we've decided to discount our complete packages!

    ** NOTE ** Shipping for management is included in the complete package price but shipping for the struts and bags is NOT. Please also note that stage I kits include one 400c compressor and stage II kits include two 400c compressors.

    All complete packages sold by ORT include: tank, compressor, lines, fitting pack, relay, pressure switch, water trap, controller (switchbox, touchpad, paddle valves, etc) and valve manifold. All kits have the ability to be upgraded whether it be with different compressor(s), different valve manifold, different tank, etc. Please let us know if you have any questions regarding our complete packages!

          FB = Front/Back
          FBSS = Front/Back/Side/Side
          this is related to using valves like mine, rather than a manifold you see in the accuair pics

          the e-level system is this, remote control and auto level system

          the switch speed system is this

          AccuAir - Air Suspension

            the difference is as follows (much like dom said)

            FB: 4 valves total, two fill and two dump. The front raises and lowers in unison and same with the rear.

            FBSS: 8 valves total, four fill and four dump. The corners raise and lower individually.

            E-level: Uses height sensors, voltage, etc. and measures the ride height of the vehicle against your presets and actively sets your ride height as you drive. There are so many features, it would be hard for me to type all of them out. This kit has the option for remote key fobs.

            SwitchSpeed: A full FBSS system - the baby brother to the e-Level it's a digital switchbox with built in flow controls. The touchpad actually controls the functionality of the system and you can preset things like valve speed, pressure switch setting, brightness of the controller, etc. The numbers 1,2,3 denote the various speed presets of the valve block. It's a great system and can be upgraded to the e-Level in the future.

            Anything else, let me know!

            Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

                This may be a silly question, but I'd thought I'd clear it up. These prices are for the management only and the bags/struts are extra?

                  jdRrose: after finalizing things with Andrew we created a new thread putting up EVERYTHING at final prices, these prices are complete kits... as in.... bags and management system, as it says it in the title and price listing.

                  to whubbsie: anything NON coilover, this being: polo, mk4 and onwards type stuff, only the bag's will be supplied for the rears as its only what needs to be replaced to bag your car, i have to check with andrew but im sure bagyard do re gassed and shortened bilstein shocks also at extra price

                  stay tuned for mk5-6 kit prices

                      whats the difference between stage one and stage two... that $100??
                      in relation to whubbsies question. we'd need new struts though yes? as normal or stock ones surely wouldn't be able to handle being so low??
                      If we need new ones could we get prices on to match the fronts please

                          oh, thanks! missed that bit.
                          advantages of two compressors? faster and more responsive lift?

                          How loud are the compressors? Can they be annoying loud?
