Hey Dyldo,
Have a look at my thread... http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/f14/...mod-25248.html
I started off originally with a single tip and a dump pipe and than when I found a valence, I got the other pipe extended out and cut the valance with an airsaw.
The pipes weren't 100 % Symetrical, but the valence was, the pipes just need to be cut with an air saw heated up with a butane canister and moved to fit this valence if I had wanted them to be 100 % but tbh it looked good as it was.
Be wary with a dump pipe as it created a lot of resonanance under the car and was quite boomy, I enjoyed it but than I moved to the twin pipes that sounded the best from there I removed the centre resonator which made it way louder when open but didn't sound overall as good (To VRING VRING) but sounded fantastic when you put your foot down !
As far as the R32 Exhaust goes, I also have a dump pipe tip for the right side and the right side is bolted on so you can easily change this.. for a prospective buyer !
The great thing about the r32 pipe is the flapper and even with the centre resonator off, I could close the flapper and it sounded very close to stock and wasn't droney at all.
