Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    VIC Performance Intake manifold! To suit 1.8T 20v

    Well I have an almost brand new Intake Manifold, I'm contemplating putting it in although I'm currently stretched for funding so I am looking to sell it

    You will have to check with Revo, the throttle body that is supposed to be used for this application is the genuine RS4 (B5) throttle body that is Turbo specific, but requires exact programming to run it. When we offered it, it was good for up to 40hp with the right software.

    Hey ... im interested about it..is it still for sale....ummm will it fit onto my golf mk4 gti turbo...i have got an front mount on it will it affect it anyway to put it on?

      From what i gather it should be a direct bolt on, as for the FMIC im not sure which side the cold air intake is. so that may be an issue but can be resolved relatively easily.

        Should be the same, you would need to make sure the port size (think some Mk4 GTI's were big port, some small port) and the throttle body flange was compatable.

          Correct, our Mk4 GTI AGU 1.8Ts are large port. Same as AEB 1.8T from america as far as I know

              So this is for small port 1.8T's? Do you know what size TB it takes? Interested for my Polo GTI.
