Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NSW 14 inch whitewall inserts

bought these whitewall inserts but ended up getting different wheels and have no use for them now. they've never been mounted.. they're as new.
they're only held on by the trims in the pic just to show what they look like.. sorry for the crappy phone pic... google "white wall insterts" to see how good they can look.

    they cost $130 +postage
    i'm after $80 + postage

They are held to the wheel by inserting them into the bead when the tyre is deflated. They are just a round strip of white moulded rubber, nothing hi-tech.
These work great if its the look you are going for but dont want to fork out the big ones for real white walls.
I have had a few sets on my Chev and ended up getting good at fitting them. Much better to fit them yourself than get a tyre place that will fit them off centre and then not care.
