Heading down a different route with my CAI so have my Forge CAI up for sale. Purchased mid last year and covered approx 15K.
Some minor chafing on the filter cannister where it contacts the felt battery box however not noticeable once installed. Some minor chafing on the hose where it passes through the body down below the passenger side foglight (again, not visible once installed).
Filter is dry paper type which Forge recommend to blow out every 20,000km or so (I normally blow it out every 5000km or so).
This isn't a loud "roaring" type CAI due to it being fully enclosed however it certainly lets the lovely supercharger/turbo sounds be heard. I understand these are fully legal also due to being an enclosed filter arrangement (don't quote me on this though) which also minimises hot air ingestion. I cannot explicitly state that this will add XX HP to your car however the responsiveness is certainly noticeable along with fuel economy in the order of 0.3-0.5l/100km from my experience vs the convoluted stock system.
I can't be certain but I believe this will also fit TDI versions aswell, the TSI manifold is 70mm - Filter body 76mm however I have a 76mm/3" straight silicone joiner aswell if someone wants to try it?
Looking for $150 pickup or + postage.
Supplied in original Forge packaging, silicone couplers, fitting instructions and extra Forge sticker.
