Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • For Sale : ClicOn Angled Phone Mount for Mk5 Golf

    Hey all...

I've got something you might like.....ooh, that sounds a bit creepy doesn't it ?

If you have a mobile (who doesn't ?) and want to either look a bit more professional or at least keep your phone in view without resorting to using the suction cup holders (which crooks will think is a GPS even if it isn't), I've got part of a solution.

Hold My Phone are an Aussie company who distribute ClicOn products, which are top notch phone holders that are a step above.

    This is what's for sale:

    ClicOn - Angled Phone Mountl

It fits the Mk5 just to the left of the stereo by clipping between the stereo and it's frame and just near the glovebox. The baseplate has swivel and practically clips into the dash. Then all you need to do is purchase the holder which screws on in about 30 seconds.

So if you're keen to start the process, and then purchase a phone holder to follow this'll be the go.

It'll be $40 with shipping of no more than $10 anywhere in Australia (registered).

If you're curious about the whole ClicOn thing, go to:

Again, if you want to see the part I'm talking about:
