Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

What rotors and pads are they? any idea on Kms on rotors and pads?

Good upgrade for Polo GTI, a few members (myself included) have these.

I'm 99% sure they are original Audi replacements (the previous owner had them done)

But as you can tell plenty of meat on them still.

hmm dont know, but wouldn't you struggle clearing them with 16" wheels?

From what i read on a quick google, might need new carriers and should just clear 16's

But im sure some one on here will have more of an idea

caliper is same as late model vr6, need different carriers to space out the caliper to house the larger disc. look for mk1 tt carriers.

These brakes came standard on the Bora V6 4Motion which came with 16" wheels, so they will fit under some 16" wheels at least.

There's an adapter kit from ECS that lets you fit these to a VR6.
                        Nothing to see here...

the audi s3 and mk1 tt come with these brakes as well.

they will fit under vag 16" wheels but not too sure about others.

Only the FWD TT - the AWD one came with the same brakes as the R32
