Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • VIC S-Line 312mm Brake kit

    Well im upgrading to 355mm and the old brakes may need a new home

    Currently on the car, but are due to be replaced when i get new wheels in jan 4th~

    Off an Audi S3 8l
    312mm size, single pot?, over 70% left so plenty of stopping to be done
    5x100 rotor stud pattern

    (will be selling everything lines, brakes, rotors, mounts ect)

      Polo boys this is the best brake upgrade for the buck going and at that price well worth it.

        Recently went to 312's from Audi TT
        Good upgrade without the horrendous cost.

        Can you give any detail on the kms done on this / all vehicles?
        How are the seals?
        Are the rotors still good or need replacing?

          They have done ~150k km, Rotors and brakes were changed over about a year ago with the previous owner.

          There is still plenty of life left in them, they are still currently on the car and will be until i can get my new wheels machined so they fit my new monsters.

          They are in excellent condition -seals and what not.. i checked this when i took them off two weeks ago to find that my monsters did fit with my 19" current wheel set up

            I'd love to get a similar set for 5x112, if anyone's looking to clear out their R32/S3 kit after upgrading to a BBK.

            Good luck with this 5x100 version... should be a nice upgrade for Polo GTI owners.

                Just the ET, will save allot of time trying to find a rim that will fit..

                im going for 355mm and well there not small
