          Sorry matey.

          One cam doesn't do both hydraulic or solid applications

          The two types have different cam profiles & grinds to suit either clearance (solid) or non-clearance (hydraulic)

                  anyone know the specs. on a G grind ?

                  (sorry to steal your post dude, but it reminded me of one of the many to do lists for my car)

                      No idea then

                      I can say it was out of a Hydrolic lifter head. both my 1.8's are AA heads. and both only have 4 bearing caps, where as solids have 5...

                          True, the aussie RV has the hydraulic version of the g grind cam. The solid lifter one is the one that will give you lumpy idle and more go and was found in the DX solid cam GTi´s
