  • QLD FS BNE: Various mk1 parts

    Hi,

Looking to clean up and get rid of some parts that I no longer need and are doing no good taking up space. Good chance to grab some parts to keep that mk1 running.

    Name: Peter
    Contact: PM or post
    Location: Brisbane southside

Would definitely prefer pickup, but have no problem arranging shipping if needed.

    Thanks for looking.

    - Home made upper strut brace: $10

    - New brazilian head gasket: $10

    - New 1.6L timing belt: $15

    - New water pump: $30

    - Usable radiator, aftermarket as bought new by me. No leaks as of last use : $15

    - 1.6L block & 4 speed gearbox. Engine fully reconditioned probably 5K KMs before accident (has been sitting). Features G grind cam (done by Ivan Tighe in Brissy from aftermarket blank) and a ported and polished big value head (sorry too long ago to remember exact specs). Will not come with the starter or alternator. Only other non-standard mods are a water based oil cooler (you know the genuine type) and also a cam splash thingy. The 4 speed had a lazy 2nd gear syncro on downshift, but was otherwise not noisy. Priced to clear @ $100. Great perk up for any tired mk1.

    - 4xMk3 rims with tyres. I believe (it is butted up against a wall and difficult to check) all centre caps are present but 1 rim trim is missing. 2 of the Falken tyres are 50% tread but the other 2 are worn on the edge. $40 for the lot...cheaper than a single 2nd hand replacement tyre, and you get 2 goods ones here.

    - Single DCOE/DHLA side draft manifold: $40. I actually have a 45mm DHLA in parts with a rebuilt kit, but I've never reassembled it. If that is what you wanted, I could probably get it together and work out some price.

    - I am currently cutting up a mk1 4 door donor car. If there's any sections you need let me know and they are yours for free otherwise Sims will be recycling it into nails

    - 1.8L head suitable for rebuild (together and includes cam, followers etc.). Was going to sleeve the oil galleries and fit to a 1.6, but alas that never happened. $20.

    - 1.8L block in pieces. Only have the block, crank, intermediate shaft, rods etc. Could be good to rebuild whilst you keep a car on the road. $20.

      Volksee77,

I received your money last week, I sent you a couple of PMs but I am still needing your address to send out the waterpump. Shoot me a PM (or whatever) with it and I'll get it on its way.

      Cheers
      Peter
