OP - i think the likelihood on selling that engine wthout specifying what code it is is low. likewise with the gearbox.

my guess is RV for the engine... gearbox unknown. is it 4 or 5 speed?

Is it 1.8 or 1.6? Looks like Mk1 yea?

its a 1.8l k-jet gti motor from a mk2 it has a 5 speed gearbox. ill post some engine numbers this week.

I've finally have the engine and gearbox codes.

The engine is a JN which is a 81hp(this lack of hp is due to a restrictive exhaust).

The gearbox is a ACD, its ratios are:
reverse- 3.67
1st- 3.45
2nd- 2.12
3rd- 1.44
4th- 1.13
5th- 0.89
overall- 3.27
