Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NSW Ross-Macine-Racing 16v SRI suit turbo motor

Up for sale is my beloved RMR 16v short runner intake. I have changed direction with my setup and I can't justify keeping this anymore.

This is one of, if not the most respected of the aftermarket SRI's for the 16v motors. It really is a work of art, the welds, the radiused mouths of the runners, the fuel rail mounting brackets, it is a very well designed and constructed manifold.

It comes with a fuel rail so no need to buy one of those. The throttle body flange bolt pattern is to suit an OBD1 VR6 throttle body, The pattern may be the same as the ABF ones as well but I am not 100% sure. I used the VR6 one. Throttle body is not included, I had to purchase that separately and I am still using it.

The throttle body flange can be swapped to either end of the plenum to suit different IC pipe setups, and the plenum end cap has 3 tapped holes for hose fittings (which are included) which can be used for brake booster vacuum, ISV and other vacuum lines. It even has a neat little o-ringed plug for a 5th injector.

I will also include an accelerator cable bracket which mounts on 2 of the throttle body mounting bolts, and a pipe I made up for the vacuum line for the brake booster.

Price is $550, postage is at buyers expense. That is a lot less than what I paid to buy and ship from the US, believe me.

Pics below, the bottom 3 are from the RMR website:

    Thanks
