As per title i have a 08 polo gti that i am considering wrecking out.
It has had a hit in the front so I dont have bonnet,front bar or headlights,radiator and rad support,it was listed as a statutory write off so cannot be repaired and put back on the street but would make an excellent track day project.Apart from the above the car is complete,it has only done 11,000klms from brand new, engine starts and runs well,no damage to gearbox etc .Also has leather option interior in perfect condition (except drivers seat airbag has been deployed,which will require a replacement airbag and the leather seat cover will require stitching back up on the burst seam,there is no damage to the leather cover,i have been quoted under $100 to stitch seat).
At this stage I would either like to sell the car complete(offers in excess of $5500)or wreck it out for parts.I will only consider wrecking it out if I can sell engine/gearbox,wireing and ecu as one unit for $3000,then part out the rest for sensible offers.
I have had several people wanting to buy the leather interior so if your interested in that please pm me with your offer(over $1250 atm).
I can take pics and email them to anyone wanting /expressing intrest.
Body wise the complete rear end is perfect condition(black colour)the two doors and mirrors are perfect,the two front guards are slightly damaged but could easily be repaired.Airbags in dash,steering wheel and drivers seat have been deployed.
This would make a very cheap track day race car and if I didnt have other projects on the go that is exactly what I would do with the car, car can be started and viewed in Brisbane.
