  • SYD: Bora V6 4Motion front & rear brakes

I have decided to sell the spare set of brakes from my Bora V6 4Motion.

Front calipers, carriers and stock lines to suit 312x25mm ventilated front rotors. A great upgrade for any Mk4 Golf, can apparently also be adapted to suit a Mk3 VR6. New rotors to suit will cost you around $200 a side for DBA, less for some other brands.

$300 for both sides, plus postage. Rotors are there but are at minimum thickness (so won't be able to be machined again, no guarantees on them).

Dont suppose these are slotted DBA's by any chance? Ive just ordered a set for the rear, so will be needing a matching front set soon.

Nope, just the stock OEM ones I'm afraid. I'll be running non-slotted fronts with slotted rears for a short time too (while I wait for my new slotted fronts to arrive).

Apparently the fronts are also suitable for Polos (and should fit under the stock GTI wheels). They're the same as the 312mm brakes from the FWD TT apparently - they may fit some other Audis as well!

                    $300 is for:

                    - 2 x Calipers to suit 312mm rotors
                    - 2 x Carriers to hold calipers in the right spot for 312mm rotors (worth USD$100 each).
                    - 2 x Rotors *
                    - 4 x Pads *
                    - 2 x Stock Bora brake lines to suit the calipers

Aside from the R32 (334mm monsters, you can pay $1000 for a set of them), the Bora V6 4Motion came with the biggest brakes (312mm front rotors, 256mm rears) of any Mk4 (the GTI was next with 288mm fronts), and are suitable for use on any Mk4, the Mk3 VR6 (need adapters) some Polos and maybe even some Audi A3s (with 5x100 PCD).

                    * I can't promise the pads or rotors will last too long (rotors are at or very close to minimum thickness), but they're there if people want them, and are included if you want them. The carriers/calipers/lines alone are worth the $300 easily, the pads and rotors are just a bonus for those who are interested.

Dont want to be paying for the pads and the disks if they are stuffed, they weigh a ton and a waste to pay for postage

Will you sell the calipers on their own, guessing they will come complete with the carriers as most calipers do lol

                        .
Yep, that's understandable. Happy to send just the carriers and calipers. Send me a PM if you're interested.
