I've not seen any VW BT unit that does that.

VW headunits with CarPlay or AndroidAuto will read out texts.

This show pretty much what it does. Phonebook and all phone control from the headunit, as well as the cluster. It also has BT A2DP streaming

Ah. I already have that. The 2011 multivan has the option of premium (text on the cluster and read out) but takes away the mobile data so you don't get emails whatsapp etc or normal phone which is just phone book call list and that's about it.

I don't believe this will work with ur MK3 Octavia. It's electronics r MK7 Golf like.
MK2 Octavia - yes, definitely will work.

I installed a premium Bluetooth unit in my MK2 Octavia RS MY11 years ago. It was a 9WZ unit that works with the white maxidot/cluster.
With an RSAP capable phone, it would work in "Premium" mode, where u can c and read text messages on the maxidot and headunit.
