Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • TAS Golf Mk1 diesel parts

Hey. I haven't been here for a very long time but I'm not dead (yet).
When I moved off the farm I discovered some Mk1 Golf diesel bits in my shed. They're just sitting there gathering dust so I thought that they may be useful to somebody here. I have:
    1 x cylinder head
    1 x starter motor
    1 x thermo fan
    1x vacuum exhauster
    Quite a few injectors
If any of these are useful to you let me know and we can talk about a price. I just want them to be used so no fortunes are involved. Bear in mind that I'm in Tassie and shipping will be expensive, however in the past, I've got around this by coercing a person going to the Mainland on the Spirit into taking them to Melbourne.
Oh...just in case somebody remembers me (I was a founder of this forum) I'm sadly out of VWs now. I sold my (the mrs')
Mk5 diesel a couple of weeks ago and put her into a Merc C220 diesel. I now drive a L322 Range Rover/BMW diesel. German diesels rule!
