Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • ACT Skoda Octavia 1Z VRS 18 inch Wheels - FREE

    Hi all,
Have a set of Octavia VRS wheels free to whoever wants to pick them up. I think they're 18x7.5 ET51 or thereabouts. All have gutter rash but are straight with no cracks. Would suit a refurb.

    Pick-up only in southern Canberra.

Not actual wheels but same as these: http://www.businesscar.co.uk/imagege...avia_wheel.jpg

Seems a shame to throw these out.

If you were closer I’d be on to these in a flash.

Just box them up and pay shipping. They’re still cheap wheels.

I was tempted to suggest that but the ad says pick up only. In the past I have packaged and sent wheels interstate with Smartsend and they are very reasonable.

            Pack&send are another good option.

It’s a bit more work but better than binning them...

Most tyre/Wheel shops would have boxes.

When I sent mine I went to the nearest Bob Jane store after they had closed. They had a skip bin and they had just flattened and chucked out 4 mag wheel boxes. I grabbed them out of the bin and remade them with masking tape and it was the perfect way to send them.
