I'm selling my Black 1999 Mk4 Golf GTI.
My add on Carsales is listed at $3400
I've had to give up on my MKIV restoration dream. I'll still be a VW enthusiast thick and thin, but I scored a Focus ST dirt cheap. So I had to oblige.
The description below is a revised version of SLAJ's post when he sold his MKIV. (Hope you don't mind SLAJ)
Second owner. I've had the car since 2009 when it was at 164000kms. Is now at 266000kms
(AGU) Engine is in perfect condition and has been very well looked after.
Oil and filter changed every 5000kms. You'll have no problems changing the oil yourself as I've replaced the sump plug with a sump tap (bought from ECS tuning).
The car is registered until Mid April 2016 and comes with the following:
- Roadworthy certificate on request
- Original log books
- Factory sunroof
Engine
- Custom made ECU tune running at 12psi peak. Can easily get 550kms with $60 on 98 octane
- New OEM Diverter Valve
- New MAF sensor
- Brand new high flow, stainless steel exhaust from turbo to tip by Genie ($1400)
- Timing Belt changed
Interior:
- Tinted windows
- Replaced originally worn seats with newer 2003 Golf GTi seats with side airbags
- Apexi performance boost gauge mounted within pod
- JVC CD player
- Carbonite dash trim
- Front door inserts reupholstered
- Front door inner handles replaced
- Gear knob/boot replaced
- Power window master switch on driver side replaced
- Blitz dual turbo timer DCII
Exterior
- ABS front sports grille
- Hella Celis headlights
- Smoked side markers
- White rear number plate LED's
- Black VW badges
- 16 inch Bora alloys
Bad points:
Struts will need some attention
Tyres will need replacement
Car has a dent on each rear quarter panel.
Sunroof visor stuck
A few small bumps from hail
Bonnet is showered with stone chips (from previous owner)
Driver's side floor carpet is worn through (a common flaw in all mk4 golfs)
Lots of spares available as shown in images
