Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hey guys
As I am going to Europe in a couple of months I am looking to sell my vr6. It’s a 1994 obd 1 with 160 kms on the clock.

Smooth engine with no chain noise.
    Burgundy
    Manual
    Leather interior
    Sunroof
    Power steering/windows/ mirrors
New inner and outer cv’s fitted
Original BBS wheels with continental tires (~90% tread)
Adjustable koni yellow shocks all around

The body is a little rough as the clear has pealed on pretty much every panel. I have replaced the rear boot worth a good straight one. There is a dent or two around the car but nothing major, a little filler before paint and it would look great. The car comes with 2L of professional automotive quality basecoat (BMW calypso red, looks similar to the original burgundy but had a little more metallic and makes the paint really pop in the sun) as well as 2L of HS 2pac clear.

Everything is there, just needs some tlc and you can save your self thousands.

    To do list
    Respray (paint supplied)
Exhaust (rusty in a couple of sections)
Tear in drivers seat bolster and leather steering wheel
repair rear regs ( or $90 new on ebay)
replace steering wheel clam shell (supplied)
    replace drivers inner cv

I had big plans for this car, shaved boot, vento front and the custom paint, unfortunately as i am leaving in a couple of months i need the cash.

    Price is $2800 ono

    Located in Adelaide SA
will need a numbers check as it was purchased in vic
