Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NZ R32 Corrado

    Hi guys,

I've owned my Corrado for around 9 years now and and in that time I've done a lot of work to it. The car is presented in immaculate condition with great attention to detail - this isn't a rip **** and bust conversion.

Life is very busy now and I'd be lucky to have driven it 500km in the last year. It seems silly to me still having it when I don't use it - perhaps someone else will use it and enjoy it more than I can.

Some specs off the top of my head:

1990 in original colour Helios Blue Metallic LA5Y (full respray)
    Originally 16v converted to Mk5 R32 (motor roughly 70,000kms)
    5 speed VR6 O2A
    Sachs heavy duty clutch
Remapped & de-immo ECU (Storm Developments UK)
    Storm cream leather interior
    G60 280mm brakes
FK Konigsport (height & damper adjustable) coilovers
    Powerflex bushes throughout
    BBS RS 003 (16x8 and 16x8.5)
    Toyo T1R 195/40/16
    2.5" exhaust
Great stereo w/ sub enclosure (2x 8" RE Audio subs, Infinity Kappa components, E Audio amp)

It drives superbly and has no issues whatsoever. Comes with a bunch of spares: original 16v engine & gearbox, lights, original bumper, grilles, trim bits, wheels etc.

The car is in New Zealand so would need to be shipped over which I can help with. If you are seriously interested it'd be best to get in touch and I will take some current photos and go into more detail with exact specs etc.

$25k or $22k on standard sebring wheels.

I haven't got any recent photos as I never really drive it but here is some old stuff to give you an idea.

Hey mate! Hope life is treating you well.

Will sell this for $22k on the factory 15" Sebring wheels with good tyres. If finance is an issue I am open to longer term payments as I'm in no hurry to sell.

I'm finishing off a few little things on the car over the next month or two (am very busy with work at the moment).

I'll then import the car to Sydney myself as this is much easier than a new owner doing it. I'll then re-advertise the car for sale on the road in Australia. Price may change slightly to factor in costs but I will update.

Anyone seriously interested get in touch. Car will be in Australia this year.

I'm in love... Beautiful machine. Wish I could have her and drive her over weekends to meets and just for a slow cruise through town.
