Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    As we have now taken delivery of our new 7R the GTI is up for sale.

    Very well maintained car which has been owned by 2 mature VW enthusiasts. Car was gently broken in and never tracked. Washed regularly, waxed and leather conditioned every 6 months using only Maguires or Mothers products. Has been a great car which I have very much enjoyed owning.

    No expense spared full service history with receipts, always serviced on time not km's. Has already had 120,000km major service. During this time was recommended to change the cam follower ahead of time as its a known potential failure in MKV's. This work was done.

    MY06 late 2005 build with 96,XXXkm's. Mainly highway km's as this was our weekend car that we used for visiting the in-laws in the Southern Highlands.

    Almost all factory options (except sunroof) plus extra's:

    * Bi-Xenon lights
    * Leather Interior
    * Satnav
    * Bluetooth
    * iPod connector
    * Mats
    * OSIR carbon fibre engine cover
    * VW underseat storage
    * Tint-a-car Formula 1 tinting
    * Genuine 18" VW Zolder Rims (From R32)

    Never had a single issue with the car. All recent services done by European Autotech after I was not happy with the quality I was getting from VW Dealers. Before sale took it to EA to get it looked over and from this had a CV boot replaced and also the front brake disks (less than 100 km's on them).

    Please don't clutter the thread with random questions. If there is anything you would like to know please PM me.

    Was given a APR tune at 75,000km's which has actually been used most of the time for the engine disable feature as my wife and I used to spend large chunks of time overseas each year. This can be supplied or returned to stock depending on buyers preference.

    Up on carsales (will provide link as soon as its active) for $16,500 but willing to do a better for VWWatercooled members.
