Time for me to part with my beloved MK3. I will be sad to see it go, but I am at a point in life where I need to move on.
The car has been great to me, always regularly serviced with semi synth oils and run without fail on PULP. I bought the car in early 2011 and it has never once left me stranded with so much as a flat tyre, it has been a very reliable ride for me.
KMS: 209xxx
Colour: Metallic green (peeling clear coat on DS guard and roof)
Rego: End of April 2014
Mods: hot tuning coilovers all round (so much fun to drive), 2in mandrel bend zorst from cat back, kenwood MP3 HU and custom white and black tartan roof lining (chicks love it, dudes maybe not so much), some 16' RJR wheels, one had some pretty bad rash when i got it, they arent perfect, tyres will need replacing in coming months,
The sad bits:
i. power steering rack weeps
ii. alternator bearing is noisy (has been for two years and never changed because alternators are damn expensive new)
iii. only the passenger window works (drivers has never motor but then the regulator died, so i fixed AC instead and used that)
iv. rear speakers disconnected
v. ABS removed (i call that a positive myself, but thats just me)
vi. patch of rust in rear DS sill (no other rust found on the car)
vii. rear wheel bearings are getting noisy
viii. exterior is 6/10 overall, wasnt mint when I got it, but I did my best to not make it deteriorate any further
The good bits / new bits in the last 12 months:
i. new AC compressor and gas
ii. rear rotors and pads
iii. both CVs
iv. new clutch, gearbox, diff gears and clutch cable and fluid from Camden GTI
v. rear wheel bearings
vi. new CAS and coil
vii. spark plugs and leads in the last month
viii. full cooling system flush with replacement of a couple of connectors and hoses
ix. LCA bushes
x. tappet and sump seals
xi. new engine and cabin air filters
Car is sold as is, happy to answer further questions via text or to provide pics via email. 0421 340 729 and jasonhickson07 at hotmail .com
I have tried to be completely honest in my assessment of the car. It would make a fantastic base for a motorkhana or similar track hack or a perfect first car for a young guy or girl who also wants to gain some knowledge about fixing a few things on cars too, or a daily for someone that likes to steer without using brakes, because, well, you can
Price: 2700.
Cheers
