Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I am in the process of looking to buy a Seat Ibiza Cupra. The 2.0l 16v versions. An ABF BABY!!!!

Quick search on carsales reveals two. Links below. How much should I be looking to pay for one? I saw one sold interstate for about $2,500 a few months ago.

I know this is a broad question. But are these cars 'reliable' for daily driving?

    Thanks in advance.

I drive my 8v hard and often. They are built solid. The only issue I have every had with the car is cooling pipes failing. Once replaced the car is bulletproof. Can't comment on the 16v, but I would assume its just as good.

I might be keen to sell my 8v if you are interested. It's very clean.

Both the ones you are looking at are nice!

I sold an 8v for more than $2.5K you may have to think double that for a decent valver. $500 cheaper than car sales ad I'd offer 4 & walk away.
